The Dark Knight Rises – a simple mobile game
Today mobile games inspired from movies with superheroes have become synonymous with failures, but from 2012 the producers have started to give their best doing these types of gaming titles. A good example is The Dark Knight Rises, a game that I personally tested on an Android device. This game occupies 2 GB on the device and costs 7$ and the story of this game is almost the same from the movie with the same name.
We are playing this game with a not very talkative Batman character, in a perpetually, gray universe along with the pervasive threat of Bane. This game has included the sequence from The Pit with a quick time puzzle. This game is almost a part of the Arkham series, but in this game we have another type of Batman.
He doesn’t many anymore a detective, he doesn’t see through walls and rarely attacks from behind. This mobile Batman punches first and then judges you or he doesn’t judges you at all. And in his fist stands the problem of this game. For this reason battles are painfully long and you will often have the feeling that this fight will never end.
The graphics of the game look great and has resisted excellent to the test of time, even after four years, which makes me think that Gameloft has given this game some updates and optimization during all this time. Yet, the game has two major problems that many players have complained about them.
The first one is with the camera. The camera goes crazy during the battles, so you get to fight with anyone, not with the enemy that you should and sometimes you will start running in the opposite direction, especially when you have a time limit and this thing is super annoying.
The second one would be the license of the game. I have seen many comments only and also YouTube reviews where players have complained about the fact that they have spent 7 bucks and the game still displays the problem with the license.
As you can see, this game has some issues and despite the fact that has a couple of years since it is on the market, the producers haven’t managed to solve them all. And this is a pity since the game overall is a good game and it is actually pretty fun to play.
